Jimmy grew up in Taiwan and came to the US for graduate studies in 1978, where he became a Christian through an on-campus Bible study fellowship group. After receiving his M.S. in EE, he worked in the semiconductor industry and was introduced to CCIC through a co-worker. In 1997, he was called and ordained as an elder of the church. He first served in the Mandarin congregation, and in 2000, began serving in the English congregation, overseeing on the adult and youth ministries. He is passionate about discipleship training and mentoring Christians to integrate faith and work. In 2008, he resigned as CEO from Integrated Silicon Solution, Inc (ISSI), the company he co-founded in 1988, in order to spend more time serving in the church, though he still works there part-time as executive chairman. Jimmy studied at Western Seminary and Christian Leadership Institute, and completed his seminary degree in 2016 after many years of on-and-off seminary studies. He enjoys hiking, watching action movies, and traveling to new places. He and his wife CK have been married since 1978 and have two sons, Jerry and Chris, and a daughter-in-law, Gloria.
